DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nEmbark on this scenic hike through subalpine spruce and fir forests\, passing impressive rock outcrops\, and be treated to breathtaking views of Pine Valley and its surrounding mountains. \nAlthough labeled as Moderate by AllTrails\, it’s worth noting that this mountain singletrack trail involves a steady ascent. Beginning at Whipple Trailhead\, the trail immediately starts its upward journey\, weaving and climbing through the landscape. Around the 3-mile mark\, after gaining approximately 1\,200 feet in elevation\, the trail descends 200 feet into Hop Canyon\, where we’ll pause for a well-deserved break with drinks and snacks. \nAnticipate a mix of sun and shade along the trail\, along with the invigorating scent of evergreens.
