How do you know which gear to buy? \nYou have only backpacked once or have only gone with other people and lack the confidence or experience to do it again. Maybe you went with your boyfriend / husband / dad / brother and they took care of everything. \n\nYou see women getting into the backcountry with other women\, and you see how strong and empowered they look and you want to feel that way too. \nWe get it because we’ve been there too. \nThat’s why we’ve created this guided beginner backpacking trip exclusively for women. \n— \n \n— \n\nAbout This Event\n— \nThere’s something so empowering about heading into the backcountry as a woman with only the gear on your back and other women beside you. However\, we know firsthand how intimidating it can be for women to get into backpacking. \nTherefore\, we invite you to experience this women-only backpacking trip in a safe\, supportive space with other new backpackers like YOU. \nJoin Angelique Fish and Cindy Vance for an unforgettable weekend in the remote\, pristine backcountry of Canyonlands National Park. \n\n\n  \n \n— \nI love it! For a job well done\, we suggest a gratuity of 15–20% of the trip cost\, to be shared between our two-guide team.\nTransportation to / from Moab and Canyonlands National Park (Whether you live in Utah or choose to fly into Salt Lake International Airport\, we will help arrange carpools in our WhatsApp group)\nNational Park entrance fee (If you have a NP Pass\, please bring it)\nAlcohol\, food for backpacking\, clothing\, and other miscellaneous backpacking items\n\n— \nHell yes! Tell me more!\n— \n\n\n\n\n 12 \n \n \n \n \n\n— \nTHINGS TO CONSIDER: \nOur beginner-friendly backpacking trips are designed to be fun and rewarding\, but the unique terrain of the Needles District in Canyonlands comes with a few things to keep in mind. You’ll encounter some Class 2 scrambles (click here for more info) and spots where a fear of heights or balance challenges may make you feel uneasy. Hiking on red rock is very different from mountain trails—it requires trusting your footing and moving carefully\, especially on steeper or exposed sections. \nIf you have any concerns about balance\, comfort on uneven terrain\, or fear of falling\, it’s a good idea to reach out to us before the trip. We’ll help you understand the route and provide tips to feel confident and safe. With a little preparation and the right mindset\, these challenges become part of the adventure—and the views and experience are truly unforgettable! \nAt the guide’s discretion\, if it’s determined that an attendee isn’t physically or mentally able to complete the entire backpack (this will be assessed during the first half of the hike to camp on Day 1 of the backpack)\, one of the guides will escort the attendee back to the trailhead. From there\, the attendee will drive themselves to the condo we’ve rented for the weekend\, where they can explore and enjoy Moab at their own pace. This ensures everyone’s safety while still allowing for a fun and memorable weekend. \n— \nPLEASE NOTE: \nWe have a strict cancellation policy for several reasons. First\, we divide gear among attendees to ensure an even distribution of weight\, which depends on having an even number of participants. Second\, we invest considerable time preparing each attendee for the trip. On average\, this is a three to four-month process. Finding a replacement and getting them up to speed takes a lot of time and work on our part. Third\, its unfair to those on the waitlist who\, if they choose to take the open spot\, are unlikely to get the full experience. \nReservations are non-transferable. Cancellations prior to January 16\, 2026\, will be eligible for a full refund minus a $125 convenience fee. Cancellations prior to February 16\, 2026\, will be eligible for a 50% refund minus a $125 convenience fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after February 16\, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS. \nBecause of our strict cancellation policy\, we STRONGLY recommend purchasing travel insurance. It is up to the attendees to ensure the policy provides the coverage needed / wanted. Almost every trip\, someone ends up needing to cancel at the last minute due to a family or personal emergency. It might feel like it could never happen to you—but the reality is\, it can. Having a trip insurance policy ensures you’re covered and can give you peace of mind\, so you can fully enjoy the adventure without worrying about the “what ifs.” \n—

Tell me more!\n— \n\n\n\n\n 12 \n \n \n \n \n\n— \nPLEASE NOTE: \nWe have a strict cancellation policy for several reasons for this beginner only backpacking trip. First\, we divide gear among attendees to ensure an even distribution of weight\, which depends on having an even number of participants. Second\, we invest considerable time preparing each attendee for the trip. Finding a replacement and getting them up to speed takes a lot of time and work on our part. Third\, its unfair to those on the waitlist who\, if they choose to take the open spot\, are unlikely to get the full experience. \nReservations are non-transferable. Cancellations prior to July 16\, 2025\, will be eligible for a full refund minus a $125 convenience fee. Cancellations prior to August 16\, 2025\, will be eligible for a 50% refund minus a $125 convenience fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after August 15\, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS. \nBecause of our strict cancellation policy\, we STRONGLY recommend purchasing travel insurance. Here is one option: https://www.allianztravelinsurance.com/. (We do not work directly with this company. It is up to the attendees to ensure the policy provides the coverage needed / wanted.) \n—

SUMMARY:Beginner Backpacking Trip to Canyonlands: April 2025
DESCRIPTION:We get it. \nYou’ve seen pictures of people backpacking in remote places and have wanted to try it yourself but . . . \nYou don’t know where to start. How do you know where to go? What to pack? What to eat? How to stay safe? \nYou don’t have the gear. Gear is expensive! Besides\, what all do you need to bring? \nTherefore\, we invite you to experience this women-only backpacking trip in a safe\, supportive space with other beginners like YOU. \nJoin Angelique Fish and Cindy Vance for an unforgettable weekend in the remote\, pristine backcountry of Canyonlands National Park. \n\n\n  \n \n— \nI love it!
