SUMMARY:Beginner Backpacking Trip to Canyonlands: October 2026
DESCRIPTION:We understand the pull. \nYou’ve seen photos of women backpacking in beautiful\, remote places and something about it speaks to you. \nBut getting started can feel overwhelming.Where do you go? What do you pack? How do you stay safe? \nMaybe you’ve gone once before\, or always relied on someone else to handle the details. Maybe you’ve been curious for years but never quite knew how to take that first step on your own. \nYou’re not alone… and you’re not behind. \nWe’ve been there too. \nThat’s exactly why we created this guided beginner only backpacking trip exclusively for women. \n\n— \n \n— \n\nAbout This Experience\nThere’s something deeply empowering about stepping into the backcountry with everything you need on your back and a group of supportive women beside you. \nOur beginner backpacking trip in Canyonlands is designed to take the guesswork out of getting started. We provide the gear\, the education\, and the guidance so you can focus on what really matters: building confidence\, connecting with other women\, and experiencing the beauty of the outdoors in a whole new way. \nJoin Cindy Vance and Angelique Fish for an unforgettable weekend in the remote\, awe-inspiring landscape of Canyonlands National Park. \n\n\n  \n \n— \nI love it! For a job well done\, we suggest a gratuity of 15–20% of the trip cost\, to be shared between our two-guide team.\nTransportation to / from Moab and Canyonlands National Park (Whether you live in Utah or choose to fly into Salt Lake International Airport\, we will help arrange carpools in our WhatsApp group)\nNational Park entrance fee (If you have a NP Pass\, please bring it)\nAlcohol\, food for backpacking\, clothing\, and other miscellaneous backpacking items\n\n— \nI’m in! Tell me more!\n— \n\n\n\n\n 12 \n \n \n \n \n\n— \nTHINGS TO CONSIDER\nOur beginner-friendly backpacking trips are designed to be fun and rewarding\, but the unique terrain of the Needles District in Canyonlands National Park comes with a few important considerations. You’ll encounter some Class 2 scrambles (click here for more info) and sections where a fear of heights or balance challenges may feel uncomfortable. Hiking on red rock is very different from mountain trails\, it requires steady footing\, good balance\, and careful movement\, especially on steeper or more exposed terrain. \nIf you have any concerns about balance\, comfort on uneven terrain\, or fear of falling\, we also encourage you to connect with us ahead of time. With the right preparation and mindset\, these challenges often become part of what makes the experience so rewarding! \nAGE RANGE\nOur groups on this beginner only backpacking trip in Canyonlands often include women in their late 30s through late 60s\, though all women (21+) are welcome! Trips move at a steady\, supportive pace so everyone can feel comfortable and confident on the trail. If you’re on the younger side\, come ready to embrace the group dynamic\, connect across generations\, and enjoy a more intentional pace. \nHEALTH CONSIDERATIONS\nIt’s also important to understand that backpacking is a very different experience than day hiking. Carrying a loaded pack in a remote environment adds a level of physical strain that can amplify underlying health conditions. If you have any medical concerns\, such as joint issues\, heart or respiratory conditions\, balance limitations\, diabetes\, or anything that could be impacted by sustained exertion\, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us before registering. We’re happy to talk through your specific situation and help you determine if this experience is a good fit\, or how to best prepare. \nYOUR SAFETY COMES FIRST\nAt the guide’s discretion\, if it’s determined that an attendee isn’t physically or mentally able to complete the backpacking portion (typically assessed during the first half of Day 1)\, one of the guides will escort the participant back to the trailhead. From there\, the participant can return to the condo and enjoy the rest of the weekend in Moab at their own pace. This approach ensures everyone’s safety while still creating a positive and memorable experience. \n— \nPLEASE NOTE: \nWe have a strict cancellation policy on this beginner only backpacking trip in canyonlands for several reasons. First\, we divide gear among attendees to ensure an even distribution of weight\, which depends on having an even number of participants. Second\, we invest considerable time preparing each attendee for the trip. On average\, this is a three to four-month process. Finding a replacement and getting them up to speed takes a lot of time and work on our part. Third\, its unfair to those on the waitlist who\, if they choose to take the open spot\, are unlikely to get the full experience. \nReservations are non-transferable. Cancellations prior to July 1\, 2026\, will be eligible for a full refund minus a $125 convenience fee. Cancellations prior to August 1\, 2026\, will be eligible for a 50% refund minus a $125 convenience fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after July 31\, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS. \nBecause of our strict cancellation policy\, we STRONGLY recommend purchasing travel insurance. It is up to the attendees to ensure the policy provides the coverage needed / wanted. Almost every trip\, someone ends up needing to cancel at the last minute due to a family or personal emergency. It might feel like it could never happen to you but the reality is\, it can. Having a trip insurance policy ensures you’re covered and can give you peace of mind\, so you can fully enjoy the adventure without worrying about the “what ifs.” \n—
