SUMMARY:Beginner Backpacking Trip to Canyonlands: April 2026
DESCRIPTION:We get it. \nYou’ve seen pictures of people backpacking in remote places and have wanted to try it yourself but . . . \nYou don’t know where to start. How do you know where to go? What to pack? What to eat? How to stay safe? \nYou don’t have the gear. Gear is expensive! Besides\, what all do you need to bring? How do you know which gear to buy? \nYou have only backpacked once or have only gone with other people and lack the confidence or experience to do it again. Maybe you went with your boyfriend / husband / dad / brother and they took care of everything. \n\nYou see women getting into the backcountry with other women\, and you see how strong and empowered they look and you want to feel that way too. \nWe get it because we’ve been there too. \nThat’s why we’ve created this guided beginner backpacking trip exclusively for women. \n— \n \n— \n\nAbout This Event\n— \nThere’s something so empowering about heading into the backcountry as a woman with only the gear on your back and other women beside you. However\, we know firsthand how intimidating it can be for women to get into backpacking. \nTherefore\, we invite you to experience this women-only backpacking trip in a safe\, supportive space with other new backpackers like YOU. \nJoin Angelique Fish and Cindy Vance for an unforgettable weekend in the remote\, pristine backcountry of Canyonlands National Park. \n\n\n  \n \n— \nI love it! Show me the price!\n— \nWHAT THE COST OF THIS BEGINNER BACKPACKING TRIP INCLUDES:\n— \n\nAccommodations at a condo in Moab for 2 nights (Friday and Monday)\nAll meals at the condo: dinner Friday night\, continental breakfast Saturday morning\, lunch and dinner Monday\, and a continental breakfast Tuesday morning\n3 days\, 2 nights at beautiful backcountry campsites hidden among Utah juniper trees and red sandstone pinnacles with expansive views of spectacular sunsets and star-lit skies\nAll permits required by the National Park Service\nA ratio of 1 backpacking guide to every 5 women\nHigh-quality gear to use for the weekend\, including\n\nbackpacking tent (shared with another person)\nbackpack\nsleeping bag\nsleeping pad\nwater bladder\nwater reservoir\ncookstove\nbackpacking chair\nand more\n\n\n\n\nExclusive access to our backpacking portal with videos\, instructions\, and guides to help you prepare\nIn-person hands-on training on how to pack your backpack on Friday night after dinner\nA packing list to make sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable and safe weekend\nSix-week supplemental strength training guide with videos to help you physically prepare for backpacking\nA special food menu tailored to backpacking in the desert to take the guesswork out of what to eat in the Canyonlands backcountry\nBackcountry education on Leave No Trace Principles\, Canyonlands National Park regulations and history\, and Don’t Bust the Crust\nEmergency gear including two group first aid kits\, GPS locator / SOS device\, and two experienced backpacking guides who are both certified in wilderness first-aid and CPR\nSearch and Rescue insurance in the very\, very rare chance of an emergency\nPrivate WhatsApp group to connect you to the other participants\, coordinate event details\, and prepare you for an amazing weekend full of sisterhood\, free from the noise of every day life\nA Zoom call to discuss live what you need and to answer questions\nLaminated reusable packing list for your future adventures\nSwag bag full of backpacking goodies for you to use on future backpacking adventures\n\n— \n——————-                \n— \n\n\n\n\nWHAT THE COST OF THIS BEGINNER BACKPACKING TRIP DOES NOT INCLUDE:\n— \n\nGuide Gratuities. For a job well done\, we suggest a gratuity of 15–20% of the trip cost\, to be shared between our two-guide team.\nTransportation to / from Moab and Canyonlands National Park (Whether you live in Utah or choose to fly into Salt Lake International Airport\, we will help arrange carpools in our WhatsApp group)\nNational Park entrance fee (If you have a NP Pass\, please bring it)\nAlcohol\, food for backpacking\, clothing\, and other miscellaneous backpacking items\n\n— \nHell yes! Tell me more!\n— \n\n\n\n\n 12 \n \n \n \n \n\n— \nTHINGS TO CONSIDER: \nOur beginner-friendly backpacking trips are designed to be fun and rewarding\, but the unique terrain of the Needles District in Canyonlands comes with a few things to keep in mind. You’ll encounter some Class 2 scrambles (click here for more info) and spots where a fear of heights or balance challenges may make you feel uneasy. Hiking on red rock is very different from mountain trails—it requires trusting your footing and moving carefully\, especially on steeper or exposed sections. \nIf you have any concerns about balance\, comfort on uneven terrain\, or fear of falling\, it’s a good idea to reach out to us before the trip. We’ll help you understand the route and provide tips to feel confident and safe. With a little preparation and the right mindset\, these challenges become part of the adventure—and the views and experience are truly unforgettable! \nAt the guide’s discretion\, if it’s determined that an attendee isn’t physically or mentally able to complete the entire backpack (this will be assessed during the first half of the hike to camp on Day 1 of the backpack)\, one of the guides will escort the attendee back to the trailhead. From there\, the attendee will drive themselves to the condo we’ve rented for the weekend\, where they can explore and enjoy Moab at their own pace. This ensures everyone’s safety while still allowing for a fun and memorable weekend. \n— \nPLEASE NOTE: \nWe have a strict cancellation policy for several reasons. First\, we divide gear among attendees to ensure an even distribution of weight\, which depends on having an even number of participants. Second\, we invest considerable time preparing each attendee for the trip. On average\, this is a three to four-month process. Finding a replacement and getting them up to speed takes a lot of time and work on our part. Third\, its unfair to those on the waitlist who\, if they choose to take the open spot\, are unlikely to get the full experience. \nReservations are non-transferable. Cancellations prior to January 16\, 2026\, will be eligible for a full refund minus a $125 convenience fee. Cancellations prior to February 16\, 2026\, will be eligible for a 50% refund minus a $125 convenience fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after February 16\, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS. \nBecause of our strict cancellation policy\, we STRONGLY recommend purchasing travel insurance. It is up to the attendees to ensure the policy provides the coverage needed / wanted. Almost every trip\, someone ends up needing to cancel at the last minute due to a family or personal emergency. It might feel like it could never happen to you—but the reality is\, it can. Having a trip insurance policy ensures you’re covered and can give you peace of mind\, so you can fully enjoy the adventure without worrying about the “what ifs.” \n—

SUMMARY:Gal Pals Backpacking Adventure: Coyote Gulch Edition
DESCRIPTION:About This Event to Coyote Gulch\nOne of our favorite parts about backpacking is finally getting uninterrupted time with friends. There’s no service\, no emails\, no phone calls\, no texts. Zero obligations. Just 100% presence. How often does that happen these days? Very. SUMMARY:*$200 OFF SALE* Beginner Backpacking Trip to Canyonlands: October 2024
DESCRIPTION:  \nWe get it. \nYou’ve seen pictures of people backpacking in beautiful\, remote places and have wanted to try it yourself but . . \nThat’s why we’ve created this guided beginner backpacking trip for women. \n\n\nAbout This Event\n  \n \n  \nThere’s something so empowering about heading into the backcountry as a woman with only the gear on your back and other women beside you. Located in Cache National Forest between Monte Cristo and Hardware Ranch\, we’ll be tucked in a grove of trees up on a hillside that provides amazing views all the way around and some seriously stunning sunsets. \nSome backpacking experience is required.\nOn day one\, we’ll snowshoe / backpack to the yurt\, which typically takes about 3 hours. The first 6.5 miles of the trail is groomed all winter long and is fairly mellow with only 300 feet of overall elevation gain. The final half mile is ungroomed\, which is when the snowshoes really come in handy. \nOn the second day\, we’ll explore the surrounding area on our snowshoes. If you want to bring a small sled\, there’s also a steep hillside just northeast of the yurt that’s perfect for sledding. \nDay three\, we’ll pack up and head home! \nDistance: 7 miles one way \nElevation: 300 ft \nWHAT’S INCLUDED:  \n\nYurt rental\nDinner the first night\nA full packing checklist\nInstructions on making a dirtbag sled (for those interested)\n\nYURT AMENITIES: \n\n2 queen beds / 6 single beds (bunks)\nOuthouse on site\nWood burning stove / fireplace\nCooking basics (pots and pans\, oil\, salt and pepper)\nDishes and silverware (bowls\, chopsticks\, plates\, cups\, etc.)\nStove\nCoffeemaker\n\nCARPOOLING: We’ll coordinate as we get closer to the event date. \nGEAR NEEDED: A full packing checklist will be provided after your spot is reserved. This list is an overview. \n\nBackpack\nSnowshoes\nMicro spikes\nProper footwear and clothing / layers for winter hiking conditions\nWater for the weekend (there is no water at the yurt\, we can melt snow but can’t rely solely on this)\nSled (optional)\n\nThe following items are available to rent in our shop: \n\nBackpack\nSleeping Bag\nMicro Spikes\n\nDue to the nature of this event\, four-legged friends must stay home. \nALCOHOL NOT INCLUDED \nNOTE: Reservations are non-transferable. Located in Cache National Forest between Monte Cristo and Hardware Ranch\, we’ll be tucked in a grove of trees up on a hillside that provides amazing views all the way around and some seriously stunning sunsets. \nSome backpacking experience is required. \nOn day one\, we’ll snowshoe / backpack to the yurt\, which typically takes about 3 hours. \nDistance: 7 miles one way \nElevation: 300 ft \nWHAT’S INCLUDED: Yurt rental and dinner the first night \nYURT AMENITIES: \n\n2 queen beds / 6 single beds (bunks)\nOuthouse on site\nWood burning stove / fireplace\nCooking basics (pots and pans\, oil\, salt and pepper)\nDishes and silverware (bowls\, chopsticks\, plates\, cups\, etc.)\nStove\nCoffeemaker\n\nCARPOOLING: We’ll coordinate as we get closer to the event date. \nGEAR NEEDED: \n\nA full packing checklist will be provided after your spot is reserved\nBackpack\nSnowshoes\nMicro spikes\nProper footwear and clothing / layers for winter hiking conditions\nWater for the weekend (there is no water at the yurt\, we can melt snow but can’t rely solely on this)\nMeals\n\n1 Dinner\n2 Lunches\n2 Breakfasts\nTrail snacks for 3 days\n\n\nSled (optional)\n\nThe following items are available to rent (e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com for details): \n\nBackpack\nSleeping Bag\nMicro Spikes\n\nDue to the nature of this event\, four-legged friends must stay home. \nALCOHOL NOT INCLUDED \n[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_button button_url=”@ET-DC@eyJkeW5hbWljIjp0cnVlLCJjb250ZW50IjoicG9zdF9saW5rX3VybF9wcm9kdWN0Iiwic2V0dGluZ3MiOnsicG9zdF9pZCI6IjIzNTM2NCJ9fQ==@” button_text=”RESERVE A SPOT” button_alignment=”left” _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _dynamic_attributes=”button_url” custom_button=”on” button_text_size=”17px” button_bg_color=”#ff6b5a” button_border_width=”5px” button_border_color=”#ff6b5a” button_border_radius=”100px” button_font=”Noto Sans|700||on|||||” button_use_icon=”off” background_layout=”dark” button_border_color_hover=”#ff9e59″ button_bg_color_hover=”#ff9e59″ locked=”off” button_text_size__hover_enabled=”off” button_one_text_size__hover_enabled=”off” button_two_text_size__hover_enabled=”off” button_text_color__hover_enabled=”off” button_one_text_color__hover_enabled=”off” button_two_text_color__hover_enabled=”off” button_border_width__hover_enabled=”off” button_one_border_width__hover_enabled=”off” button_two_border_width__hover_enabled=”off” button_border_color__hover_enabled=”on” button_border_color__hover=”#ff9e59″ button_one_border_color__hover_enabled=”off” button_two_border_color__hover_enabled=”off” button_border_radius__hover_enabled=”off” button_one_border_radius__hover_enabled=”off” button_two_border_radius__hover_enabled=”off” button_letter_spacing__hover_enabled=”off” button_one_letter_spacing__hover_enabled=”off” button_two_letter_spacing__hover_enabled=”off” button_bg_color__hover_enabled=”on” button_bg_color__hover=”#ff9e59″ button_one_bg_color__hover_enabled=”off” button_two_bg_color__hover_enabled=”off”][/et_pb_button][et_pb_code _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default” text_orientation=”center”][/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
