Just 2.7 miles of steep hiking puts you atop Bald Mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Uinta Mountains. From the top, you’ll have a bird’s-eye view of four of Utah’s major watersheds and lakes as far as the eye can see!
With packs loaded down by a handle of vodka, celery, Bloody Mary mix, Tabasco, pickles, and some tasty snacks, we took the party to 11,943 ft. At the top, we had a Blood Mary spread you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else, but that is how we do it!! One of our dedicated wine hikers even lugged a small cooler with a 5-lb bag of ice to the top!
We take our drinking—we mean hiking—very seriously. This was an event we will not soon forget! We hope you’ll hit happy hour on the trail with us next time.
